The Rev. Stephen Mueller was installed at Concordia on June 17, 2012. Rev. Stephen M Mueller was born in Sturgis, MI to Rev. John F. and Kathrin Mueller in 1982, the eldest of 4 children: Stephen, Rebecca, Bethany, and Michelle. No matter where they lived, his parents saw to it that they receive education through Lutheran Schools. As a “System’s Guy” (that is, a man who attended Lutheran Schools from Pre-K/K through College) Pastor Mueller graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO in 2008. He still enjoys playing sports as he did throughout his time in school, when he has the opportunity.
Pastor Mueller met his wife, Marifaith, when he was on vicarage serving at The Lutheran Church of St. John in Quincy, IL. His first call was to St. James in Quincy, IL to be their Assistant Pastor. Marifaith was born and raised in Northern California and moved to Quincy with her family in 2002. She has many years of experience working in public radio as a show producer, host, and studio manager, has subbed and taught at all grade levels- including adjunct faculty at Quincy University and John Wood Community College, and holds a Masters of Mass Communication. She currently teaches Journalism classes at a near-by Community College and coaches the Geneseo Gators Swim Team at the Community Center. Pastor Mueller and Marifaith welcomed their son, Ephraim, in 2011, their daughter, Anyssa, in 2014, their son Michaiah in 2016, and their son Gideon in 2017.
